We had a pretty eventful night last night (10/22/2015). During our debut performance, at the new Brickell hotspot El Tucán Miami, we looked up to see Will Smith seated at the table right in front of the stage.

As we later found out, the actor and rapper came in to dine at the cabaret style venue, with his manager James Lassiter, and friend Violet Camacho, and to catch the first seating of our show.

Smith and company remained on the down-low as they supped on a meal by Michelin-Pedigreed Chef Jean Paul Lourdes, and sipped on cocktails by Bar-Lab.

After our performance, the venue’s jazz performer Jahzel Dotel took to the stage. As she was finishing up her set, she uttered one of Smith’s infamous lyrics, “Welcome to Miami, Bienvenidos a Miami”, and The Fresh Prince took to the stage to give an impromptu performance, free styling to high-energy beats, alongside the 11-piece house band, fronted by Multi-Grammy award-winning Puerto Rican artist Marlow Rosado.

Later in the evening, while we were hanging backstage in our green room, we heard a knock on the door. Someone in Will’s entourage asked if we would come take a picture with him. Of course!

Will Smith was super nice, and genuine. We had such a great time hanging out with him.

The night was capped off with a set by our friend, Miami-based DJ, Mr. Pauer (Toto Gonzalez). Mr. Pauer is a Latin Grammy-Nominated producer and re-mixer, born in Venezuela, and the creator of his signature sound "Electrópico", a fusion of electronic dance music mixed with Salsa, Zouk, Reggae, Cumbia, Dancehall, Merengue, and Kuduro. He has created a unique sound born in Miami.

The next day, just as we were about to post the pictures we had taken on social media, we decided to look at Will’s Facebook page, and were beyond excited to see that he had already shared the photos of the evening. What a night to remember!
